“It’s fair to say we were petrified but we thought to ourselves, if we treat guests the same way we’d like to be treated then, fingers crossed, everything should be OK!” said house-proud Natasha, aged 32, whose family has been in the Stratford guesthouse business for years.
Having just got married last September and with a popular guesthouse to run for visitors from all over the world, Dai and Natasha suddenly found themselves having to keep to a hectic, 11-day film schedule in November which saw them visit three other guesthouses belonging to contestants in Oxfordshire, Ramsgate and Newbury.
So with a proud tradition in hospitality and with back-up from her midwife mum, Karen Cauvin, who helps run the guesthouse, how did Natasha and Dai get on?
“We can’t say!” she replied with a knowing laugh. “I actually cried when I read the marks my fellow contestants gave me for our breakfasts which they rated as superb and they each gave us ten out of ten! But other than that I’m sworn to secrecy!”
The big question is: was Natasha’s sumptuous home cooked breakfasts or the chocolate biccies in the bedroom enough to woo her critical guests? All will be revealed when the programme is aired over a five-day period, startingon Monday 24th March.
